I completed my first year of government employment while I was TDY/Leave and didn’t even mention it. I really like being in Korea. It does stink being far from home; but I love being here and being overseas. Yesterday, I drove my car up to Camp Humphreys which is about 150 miles away to help administer some ham radio tests (Six new technicians by the way). While not a long distance in the USA, in Korea it is a far. I drove through a spine of mountains that run north to south. I was just overwhelmed by the beauty of this country. I was also reminded too of why I like being a passenger in Korea; driving is wicked here. And so I am grateful that I have a really cool job in a cool place and yes, I do miss my cool country too!
